Global Co. selects qualified applicants for admission and scholarships in
reputable South Korean universities.
With

boasted by a booming IT industry, South Korea has quickly emerged as one of the
leading and most desirable countries for education and professional training. Besides
IT, Korea has claimed a leading position in several domains like shipbuilding,
electronics, automobile manufacturing and construction engineering.

The country that was much poorer than some of the poorest nations of Africa now
has over 400 universities and colleges with about 3.3million students.
Over 90 thousand
international students are studying in Korea and the number keeps increasing.
Most Korean
universities are private while one fourth are public. The duration of most
undergraduate courses is 4 years; medicine, oriental medicine and dentistry
each require 6 years of study. Masters Degree programs take 2 years while PhD
programs could range from 4-5years. There are 9 special graduate schools of
international studies offering professionally designed programs entirely in
English. There are also several colleges in which all courses are taught in
English.
Korean universities
continue to gain international competitiveness academically. A 2008 ranking
placed Korea 12th among 186 countries in the number of papers
published in SCI-level journals (National Science Indicators database of SI and
SSCI). In recent years, universities are increasing opportunities in
international exchange programs, courses taught in English, dual-degree
programs, etc.
Korea is a
relatively inexpensive country for international students. Cost of
accommodation, utilities and transportation are also reasonable. In addition,
many universities provide scholarships and other forms of assistance to
international students. There are also many chances to get Korean
government-sponsored scholarships. Students are officially authorized to work
in Korea.
